Pink Suits Him

It has become a stereotype that pink is for girls and them alone. Since I was young, I have seen boys being pushed away from the color, making them avoid the color at all costs, whether in clothes, amenities or even food! Most times, I see guys get hesitant when the color is even suggested.

Nevertheless, pink is just a color – a very nice color to say the least, especially when worn, and guys should not loath the color but give it a try from time to time. It might surprise you how charming you look, just like this gentleman here.

Many people perceive pink as a feminine color, but did you know that it used to be masculine and popular among guys? I was actually shocked when I first saw this and did my research.

Apparently, pink was considered a “warlike color” since it was a diminutive of red. You would find the men of the past in pink silk suits that had floral embroideries. Even imagining this seems surreal! Not that it doesn’t happen now, but it’s so rare – almost unorthodox.

But I believe we can bring the trend back if the lovely men of the world just embrace the color whenever they can instead of avoiding it at all costs, which is sadly what we find in today’s society.

Even though we’ve been raised to believe that a particular color is for a particular gender doesn’t mean we should accept it – we are older and (hopefully) wiser individuals who are capable of making our own decisions.

Who says we can’t break out of the barriers that society has set for us?

Experiment with your style! Always seek to grow and to improve, not only in your fashion sense but in all aspects of life.

So to those guys (and girls) who always discard pink, give it a try: it’s fun and suits everyone.
