“I think there is beauty in everything. What ‘normal’ people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it.”
– Alexander McQueen
Pink and Red: both fun colors to use, but at the same time one has to be cautious when using each of them so as not to look like a hot mess. So that’s one of the reasons why it is rather difficult to pair the two in an attire.
It’s funny that although pink and red are similar, most would agree that the thought of both of them together may appear uncanny and ridiculous; pairing the two up might even be known as a “fashion don’t.”

Well, as you may have found out from my blog posts, I don’t necessarily like to follow the rules when it comes to fashion and my personal style – which is why I have chosen to wear Red and Pink together.
Truth be told, this trend of blending in the two is becoming rather popular. In fact, the other day I saw a dress by Red Valentino that was pink with red hearts on it.

However, before you start planning out your pink and red outfit, let me give you a secret tip on how you can look attractive in your ensemble:
Pale Pink and Bold Red.
Using the pale pink and bold red brings about a sort of balance in your outfit: while you have the bold red that grabs your attention, the presence of the pale pink is subtle, not so “attention grabbing” but also hard to miss. And for accessorize, I kept it simple and neutral to give a bit of contrast to my vivid clothing choice.
So knowing this, don’t be scared to mix Red and pink in once in a while. However, if you’re not interested in using the colors in clothes, you can start small – and safe – by using them as accessorize.

Don’t be stuck in your own style bubble and try something new. Someone once said, “Fashion is like eating, you shouldn’t stick to the same menu.” Therefore, try a different menu, in a different restaurant. Life is too short to do the same thing over and over again.
So what are your thoughts on the outfit?

Do you think the Red & Pink can work together or would you rathere just keep them apart?
